Less volume in a smaller footprint. The 350 ml is for shorter efforts, a handheld, or topping up between taps — it clears a chest pocket more easily and packs down smaller when empty. If you want the flask the Vest is built around, that's the 500 ml.
Yes. The 42 mm mouth takes gels, powder and mix without a funnel, and the TPU wipes clean. Keep it to still liquids — carbonated drinks will build pressure against the valve.
The bite valve twist-locks and the screw cap is leak-tested, so a locked bottle sits in a pocket without weeping. As with any bite valve, leave it unlocked and it can drip.
