Carrying your own water
Self-supported running is a packing problem before it is a fitness problem. Most runners get this backwards.
When you run where there are no aid stations, water stops being a detail and becomes the route. You plan the run around the streams, the villages, the one tap you know is reliable — and you carry enough to bridge the gaps.
The mistake is carrying too much, too high, too loose. Weight that moves costs you more than weight that sits still. Two flasks on the chest, a bladder against the back, nothing swinging.

Learn the weight empty and full. Learn how the balance changes as you drink. Then the carry becomes something you stop noticing — which is the entire point.
